My Mission

My mission is to help kids replace their virtual world with physical activity. Too often kids turn to screens and devices in times of boredom, sadness or stress. I want to introduce running and walking as a new habit, as well as a coping mechanism for kids when going through stressful or difficult times. Whether it is for physical or mental well being, running and walking can have a positive effect on everyone. To encourage kids in my community, I have identified a number of fun and easy routes below. I call my movement Miles For Your Mind!

About me

I am a high school student, and a cross-country and track athlete. Like many middle school kids I was using a screen too much. During high school, I discovered that running is more than just a sport. It has become a life changing activity that not only maintains my physical well being, but my mental well being as well. Running has helped me through some tough times, and it's now my go-to outlet. I hope I can inspire kids to find movement in their lives, leave their devices inside and head outside.
