I have a lot of friends who live on the border of Evanston and Skokie. This is a great route if you live in that neighborhood. If you are new to the area, you well need to find a hidden sidewalk!
The corner of Lyons and Central Park is a good place to start for this route
Head north on Central Park - you might see friends or family in the park!
Take a left at Foster Street and go all the way to Hamlin
At Hamlin, take another left
Head down Hamlin until you reach a stop sign with no cross street. There is actually a sidewalk there!
Take a left on the sidewalk, and head straight, which will connect you back to Lyons where you will finish the route at the corner where you started

Firefighter's Park is a childhood classic. Not only can you play in the park, but you can also run and walk too. If you want, use this loop to take you to downtown Evanston, where there are lot of fun things to do.

You will pass my favorite breakfast spot, Ovo Frito, somewhere you all should try!
Take Emerson until you hit Sherman Ave where you will take another left
Head north on Sherman until you reach Garfield Pl. (no relation to the cat) and take another left.
When you hit Maple, take a left and end the route back at Firefighter's Park

This beach is another favorite of mine. It is a great place to go on a hot sunny day, and also a great place for some movement!
Start at the beach entrance and head north down the bike path running along the lake.
Watch out, usually this path is pretty crowded with other people exercising!
Take a left once you reach Hamilton St.
Head down Hamilton for a few blocks until you reach Judson Ave, where you will take another left
Use Judson until you reach Lee St where you will take a left. Lee St will take you right back to the bike path where you started the route
Finish the route back at the beach entrance. Remember to take a dip in the lake (with permission from your parent) before you head home!
